Instrument cluster problem as well
My display fades a little after it has been in the sun for too long, ex. when I have it parked during the day.
The display that shows the radio station fades, but at night or in colder conditions it's fine.

It will only get worse.
Soon it will fade in the dead of winter once the components/interior warm up. That's how mine is. I just leave it off unless I want to see something, then it gets turned off again.

I was driving one of the A4's the other day when some red symbol popped up and a buzzer sounded...
...of course, I had no idea what the symbol was since the display is illegible.
Turns out it was "only" the oil pressure warning. There really should be a recall or service action for these clusters.

Agree as well
Audi will not do it..
I know that Siemens had previously offered to Audi free one time replacement to any customers whos display fail even pass the warranty , but only one time. Audi refused to do that due to costs involved in replacing it, and decided to charge us 'customers' triple the price they are buying at.
the true cost that Audi buys those cluster is 240 us + they get 150 us back for getting back the defective unit so true cost is 90 us to Audi..
the rest we know how much they charge..
