Done abit of searching and couldn't find any info on the interchangeability of steering racks on the c5 platform . I may need to replace the s6 one at some stage in the future and parts are hard to find in new Zealand. I have the opportunity to purchase a rack from a c5 a6 4.2 but not sure if its compatable

Any info appreciated

What do you mean, "May have to replace rack"?
Is it leaking, and where?
The big job is the R&R, not the rack overhaul.

Have not had a chance to get it up on a hoist yet . Just going off what previous owner said . It can be harder to turn one way . Will look into it and hope it doesn't need replacing 🤞🤞
