As I posted earlier, moyles was right about the intercooler hose being the problem with my car. I now have it back and I'm now mentioning that the problem with the engine started right after I chipped it. I didn't mention that before because I thought things would turn out to show the chip wasn't the problem.

Well, it seems the chip was indeed probably NOT the problem. I think there was a small problem with the intercooler hose, or something, before chipping. My reasoning is that the car, with stock ECU/ chip, seems better now than before the problem. I'm wondering if the hose was limping along and the chip just helped finish it off. Who knows how long I would have been driving the car with sub-standard performance, if not for the chip?

If I gave every last detail of the story, there would be some contradictions in my theory. But, in general, I'm ready to go back to the chip tomorrow. I'll let you know.

BTW, the APR guys were fantastic throughout the process. I'm not saying they're not human, but I love 'em.
