Default You know what else works well because I'd be afraid the door edge guard couldn't handle the heat is

high temp engine hose. When I did my 4.2 exhaust cutouts I went to the local Pep Boys, bought the smallest gauge vacuum hose, which was dark gray and temp resistant, and sliced it lengthwise with a straight razor. I then fit it over the edge of the rear bumper cutout in a similar fashion to how it was done in this post with some high temp epoxy. Matched the bumper perfectly.
