JE (Control Arm) Recall

JE (Control Arm) Recall
If both control arms are replaced under the JE (control arm) recall, should the car get an alignment too? Will this alignment be covered under the JE recall?
Thanks in advance.

Re: JE (Control Arm) Recall
That's what I thought too - but my service advisor said that the replacement of control arms will not affect the alignment of the car. Can anyone confirm this please? Thanks in advance.

I've been told that too.
On my wife's car, I replaced all eight pieces at 115k with aftermarket parts. No alignment. She just turned 160k, and tire wear is even. I just replaced both tie rods last week, so I finally had the car aligned.

Heh, heh...
I guess it means it didn't effect mine ;P
In truth, it isn't supposed to. But if your current bits have some bend or irregularity that has been compensated for in a past alignment, that's a different story. And how can you know?
Of course, an alignment is always a good thing, if done right, and the only thing better than an alignment is a free alignment, so I would continue to fight the battle. If you lose and they won't align, my suggestion would be to drive the car a bit and see how it feels. Note if the steering wheel is still straight. IF it feels good, hope for the best and drive it. If, on the other hand, it comes back and the steering wheel is not straight (or at least in the same position it was when the car went in) I would push for the free alignment again.
