Just bought 2000 Avant and will be going skiing

Could be that new tires would be a good idea...
...depending on what you got with the car. I'd get some quality snow tires for those wheels and use them only on the winter Colorado trips. That would give you the excuse to get some taller wheels with better tires for the rest of the time. HPH
