Default Just had the Mintex RedBox brake pads installed...

I got the front and back pads from AWE Tuning for about $150. So far, the braking seems to be slightly improved, although it is too early to tell. I will post more feedback after a week or so, as well as pictures of the claimed reduction in brake dust. We had to grind a mm or two off of the calipers to get a proper fit with my wheels, but no big dealio.

Keith;
I just ordered a set for my 2000 A6 2.7T from Sachs.
My part numbers were MDB 2120 D (front) and MDB 1377 D (rear). Are those the numbers you were given?

Thanks, Dick

The part number for the front is the same (I think). The box says "MDB2120AF". The back pads are a different number than the one you have. The box says "MDB1191AF". Here is a link to the website where I bought mine. Let me know what you find out.<ul><li><a href="http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shared/part_detail.cfm?PMaI=1&PMoI=4&PEI=6&PP=s4_27t_brak es.cfm&PPT=Brakes&IL=MintexPads">http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shared/part_detail.cfm?PMaI=1&PMoI=4&PEI=6&PP=s4_27t_brak es.cfm&PPT=Brakes&IL=M

Default Chuss...see thread below re: part number for back pads...

AWE is sending out replacement pads - fortunately for me, I had not yet put the rear pads on.

Keith:
I checked out the numbers with Bill Taylor, the Mintex man at Sachs. He confirmed and re-confirmed that the fronts are MDB2120D and the rears are MDB1377D. I purchased them from Becker Imports 229-436-3999. I plan to have them installed this weekend when I also have my new Ronal R-38-17x8 w/ 235/45/17 Kuhmo's installed......could be a great weekend!
Good luck...I'll let you know how it goes.
Dick
