Default Just installed the S6 wheels and Toyo's...

Snapped a couple of pics before it got too dark. I didn't have a chance to wash the car or the wheels, so she's a little dirty. I'll take some better pics when I have a chance to clean her up this weekend.

The Toyo T1R's are pretty quiet, but its much too early to make any judegment on them. I took the wheels and tires to a new shop to have them mounted and balanced. They did a great job, used metal valve stems and uprated "painted" wheel weights. They were on Tirerack's recommended installer list, and it only cost $32 to have all 4 mounted and balanced! I'm guessing it must have been a mistake.

Default These are from an S6...

The S6 wheels are 17x8 et35, while the S4 ones are 17x7.5 et45. S6 wheels take the OEM tire size for the A6 4.2 (255 40 17), and do not require spacers. The offset on the S4 wheels would require a spacer, and you also need to run a narrower tire.

S4 wheels are a dime a dozen, while the S6 ones are pretty rare (at least here in the US).

Default Thanks BD...

Now its on to a set of H-sports, and maybe a set of sport springs and Bilstein's if that wheel gap gets to me too much...

Because they are 17x8" ET35 offset S6 vs 17x7.5" ET45 S4

Default Thanks...but I guess that's not saying much...

Considering the overwhelming dislike for pieplates on this forum.
