LATCH retrofit
Has anyone had the LATCH child safety seat retrofit done? I found out about it through a brochure at an Audi dealer and it is apparently a program sponsored by AoA but I have had nothing but problems trying to get a dealer who knows anything about it.

All dealers were to send someone from parts or service to a class on LATCH... had my car done 8
months ago. Dealer was very knowledgable... installed latch and tethers NO CHARGE.
There is a tech bulletin for the dealers to go by.
Aud is committed to safety and will retrofit '98 and later at no charge.

finally getting it done but what a hassle. had one dealer refuse to do it even after speaking directly with AoA. AoA said they could not force them to participate. Finally got the car to dealer today only to find out they only ordered one kit = one side of the rear seat.

Got mine done; no hassle
My service/dealer installed the rear seat LATCH hardware during a regular oil change. No questions, no arguments. I got it done early SEP 2002.
Cars before '01 need more extensive work for LATCH as the top shelf hooks need to be installed too.
