Looking for advice (Long)
2000 A6 2.8 - coming off lease in Oct/Nov.
2002 Boxster S - on lease for 4 years
2002 Outback Wagon - wife's car that was purchased, not leased.
Goal is not to have 3 car payments.
Option 1: Buy Audi at lease end and keep it for 3 more years.
Option 2: Payoff Suburu and turn in the Audi for a 2003 2.7t.
Option 3: Buy Audi, trade Suburu for an A4 Avant so to have an all German stable.
The payoff on the Outback is the same as that for the A6. The A6 has 48,000 miles on it. I'm a little concerned with the redesign, but maybe the 2.7t will pacify me for a few years before getting the new design in the second model year.
What would you guys do??
All things being equal, I'd go with #3, but you'll have trouble letting the A4 be your wifes car...however, you do have the Boxster too....
Keep the Subie. You are already taking the depreciation hit. Why start that over again.
(It's nice not having car payments...)
On second thought, You shouldn't care if you wife is happy with the Subaru, dump it as well and get her an A4. (or a used S4!)
It is your responsibility!
