Default Looking for non-Audi help...

I'd like to find an internship in financial services for this summer. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

It's pretty hard for me to do because I'm a sophmore and have a huge transfer history. I broke my femur, left Cornell Engineering, went to Brooklyn College, came back to Cornell Engineering, and transferred to Cornell Industrial and Labor Relations.

Thanks guys. I'm getting frustrated and I know I can turn to the A6 forum for help. Sorry for the OT.

Also check your local chapter forum, I know the midatlantic folks are helpful. Good luck!

Default You've gotta have thick skin to get into AWOT..

...but I'm sure you'll find SOMEONE that's helpful. Also try the MA forum - they can get crazy at times, but I've found them to be very helpful as well.

Default I would assume Cornell has a career resource center. If they are no help and you have no connections

blanket all the finance companies in your preferred area with a STRONG cover letter and your resume. You may do better looking to help out a small company for very cheap, or free, and work on hooking up with a big company next summer. Your junior year internship is the most important. But the Sophomore year helps to establish some work history, credibility, and an industry referral, and makes you a stronger candidate for a better company your jr. year. I'm sure I don't have to tell you, a good performance at your jr. internship will be your strongest employment op. after school.

Btw, start your search earlier next year.

Good luck.

Often depends on time of day. Try morning, not afternoon or evening.
