If you've been using dino, you may not want to go with synth. Some say "it finds leaks?"

Default You should follow the viscosity listing in your owner's manual for the climate and driving...

style you're in. 0W-20 is too thin for operating at high temperatures and/or high speeds. FYI, I switched from dino oil, which was used since it was brand new, to Mobil 1 0W-50 Euro formula synthetic oil several years ago in my '96 A6 Avant w/o any leakage problems.

Default 0w20 and 5w20 oils should only be used in engines that specifically call for them... in fact

the last bottle of either of these 20w oils that I saw, (I think it was Castrol) specifically said that engine damage could result if used in engines that didn't specifically call for them. That's about as ominous a warning as I've ever seen on an oil bottle. These oils were designed for some of the very late model asian imports to help support high fuel mileage but I have no doubt that the clearances and oil flow systems on these engines need to be designed to compensate for such thin viscosity.

Default yes, too light.....

Audi has even said no officially on their approved oil list to no 0W-30 (which I think is bs since there are some very good 0W-30's on the market that meet all of their standards).

That's the weight required for my wife's MDX. Probably lots of Acura motors. Not Audi.
