which older (98-01) a6's have in-dash cd player. like what option?

player (one disc) in the Symphony unit, and a 6-disc changer in the trunk. I think that is the typical setup starting in MY2000. The Concert head unit did not have a CD player in the dash, but car was pre-wired for CD changer in trunk.

Early 99s had no in-dash CD player, but around mid-year they switched to a newer design head unit that incorporated a single-disc player. This same head unit was used in all 2000s and 2001s. In 2002, they switched to a 6-disc in-dash head unit.

In all of the A6s where the factory head unit includes the CD player, it's standard equipment, not an option or part of an option package.

almost hit "post reply" and noticed the word "player" not "changer." Strangely enough, it looks like 1998-1999 A6 did not have an in-dash CD player (according to the info from the link in my post above). Seems odd...
