Also, saw a very favorable review on MotorWeek a coupla nights ago.
Best Luxury Car: Audi A6
The all-new A6 circles the luxury bases-beauty, performance, character, craftsmanship-better than anything in its class. If you're planning to spend $40,000 to $60,000 on a luxury sedan, the A6 should top your test-drive list.
PERFORMANCE: The A6 closely matches the performance of the benchmark BMW 5-Series, yet it's more luxurious and ergonomically sound and costs roughly $5,000 less. Choose Audi's new direct-injection, 255-hp V-6 or a mighty 335-hp V-8; both are mated to standard Quattro all-wheel drive.
DESIGN: The gaping grille is Audi's bold new signature. Inside, the Multi Media Interface, a single-**** systems controller, is as easy to use as BMW's iDrive is baffling. A CD player hidden in the glove box is the one sour note.
SAFETY POINT: Headlights turn in concert with the steering wheel to illuminate around curves.
Runner-up: BMW 5-Series

Good for AoA
Any sampling is good, it might steal away a few buyers from Merc and BMW. But no.dot's take on Money and cars is correct. As highly esteemed as that chicklet who "reviews" for Newsweek.

I actually subscribe to Money
not for all the silly investment stuff in the front, which changes all the time like fashion, but many of their back of the book articles are quite entertaining. The car stuff I take with several large grains of salt.
BTW, if you ever want to subscribe to a magazine, go to eBay. Yes they have a section just for subscriptions, don't bother bidding just check out the "Buy it now" price, which is on the order of 3 years for the price of six months. I did this recently with the New Yorker and it really works. Dunno how anyone makes money at this, but there are lots of people offering these great deals.
