Default Driving fast or through deep water? Perhaps a sensor is getting wet.
My first guess might be the O2 sensors. Check and make sure they are screwed in tightly.

Default Lot's of sensors on that car, many things it could be, if you are in or close to Indianapolis I'll
vag it for you!

My engine lite goes on/off frequently. no faults found...frickin electonics

The CEL has been going on and off in my '91 100 since I bought it. No problem ever found and it still runs fine. Audi's motto should be "Electronics Ain't Us".
