I got one 6 point speeding ticket last July.
I got another 6 point speeding ticket 3 weeks ago (which I plead not guilty to, as I honestly feel another vehicle was clocked instead of mine)
I received a letter stating that I must go to a DMV hearing (possible suspension here) as I have passed the 11 point threshold)
What should I expect at this hearing? Can I request to pay a fine in lieu of suspension? I have already taken the point reduction class (2 days after the last ticket, but it didn't reach the DMV in time to prevent the hearing)
Both tickets were on highways, on for 73 in a 50 (which I knew I was guilty so there was no contesting it) the last one was written for 77 in a 50, and I feel I was wrongly ticketed as I was directly alongside another vehicle, matching it's speed, traffic was heavy, and fast moving traffic was rapid approaching from my rear. There were approximately 10-12 cars on the same stretch of road I was on (within 1/2 mile I would say)
Any past experiences/suggestions would be welcomed
