Default New to Audi A6 Quattro - UK Resident

Hello,

I am new to the forum and to Audi, i have just purchased a 1999 2.8 A6 Quattro Tiptronic,i have a few items to fix on the car but am really interested in two things.

1. The recall concerning the fuel guage.... could you tell me if this is world wide or just within the USA, i have noticed that my car suffers from this.

2. My interior is vanilla leather with the ''beige'' seatbelts !! Could you give me any information on how i can clean these without taking them out of the car. I have noted that in the USA you have lots and lots of really ''nice'' car cleaning items, but in the UK we have soap and water !! Well maybe not so bad but we do not seem to have dedicated products for cleaing webbed belts... any help please.

Default Welcome, may the Rings be with you ;)

As a leather cleaner you should try "Lexol" Leather cleaner AND Conditioner
You can buy it over ebay.com

Default Warm water, mild soap and some elbow grease

no chemicals on the seat belts as it will damage the belt. You do not want to degrade the strength.

It it is really bed you should have the belts replaced professionally.

Hi and welcome
I'm in the UK as well and have had my A6 for 3 months now - See link below

I also have a nice beige leather interior and dirty seat-belts so would be interested to know if standard auto upholstery cleaners can be used ?!

http://www.tyresmoke.net/gallery/album115</a
