Default New to forum... Dumb question (sorry!) re: tool kit

My first C5... Had a C4 years ago, just bought a 2002 A6 3.0, all options.

Dumbest question... Where is the factory tool kit supposed to be located? Searched the trunk, found the hazard reflector of course (hard to miss)... I looked in my manual - refers to the tool kit but I didn't see an explanation of where the darn thing is.

Oh, and I did search the forum first... But didn't find anything. Probably because no one is as blind as me and they just know where the darn thing is.

Help a newbie out, please? Maybe my tool kit is just missing, and that's why I haven't found it... Or it's right under my nose.

Thanks!

Default welcome to the forum, and congrats on your new acquisition. You were 'getting warm' in your

search for the tool kit while you were in the trunk. On the driver's side of the trunk, there is a panel that opens, revealing a small space to store things (on the bottom) then the space for the trink-mounted CD changer (at least in 2000-2001 models), then a velcro strip that secures the tool kit/car jack. Pull the velcro strip open, and slide the tool kit out. Voila!

Default There are no dumb questions, it took me a month to find the owners manual......

this after the salesman showed me it's location on the day we bought it.
