Default Nice. Keep posting pics as you you make it "homey". May I suggest the HangUp Pro?

Default Really Nice! Which model is that lift?

I've been shopping for lifts online and looked at Bend-Pak. I thought it was interesting that they showed A6s on their scissor lifts. Just wondering which model you chose and what factors played into your decision.

Very nice, but why a 4 post lift? The 2 post lifts allow way more access to the car..

Default About the lift,

It is a BendPak BP-12FW. This is a discontued model, so it may be hard to find. I did a lot of research and exchanged emails with a number of Audiworld folks from different forums about the pros and cons of a 2-post vs a 4-post lift. The big requirement for me was to be able to put 2 cars in one bay, if I should start collecting cars, so in inground lift would not have worked. Of course, with a 2 post lift, you can drive one car under another. However, even though both are completely safe, I personally felt more comfortable with the idea of storing a car under a 4 post lift.

Default DC Area Folks

I know there are at least 5 of us with A6s who are regulars to the forum. I'll have to have a get together so we could meet each other in person, and people could use if the lift, if desired. I'm a little tied up most weekends until the second half of April, but I will eventually get to it.

Default I still would have gotten the 2 poster. They won't go anywhere when up...

they have safety catches every inch. They are actually better for long term storage, no flat spots on tires, and the car is off it's suspension.

Default I'm sure your right, but

(1) I can use mine to store a car with no weight on the suspension. Look at the first picture with the tires off the car.
(2) Even though they are both safe, I personally feel safer with a 4-post lift. If you search hard enough, you'll find accident reports with cars falling off of 2 post lifts. I could not find any such accidents with a 4 post lift. Just my personal feelings. Everybody is entitled to an opinion.
