Default No power coming from the wire that goes to the SAI pump? 2001 Audi A6 2.7t

Hi guys. I have 2001 audi a6 2.7T with p1423 and p1411 codes... I checked the pump with external power and it works fine. Checked the fuse for continuity and it's also fine. I checked the wire (that goes to the SAI pump) for voltage, and there is no power. Any suggestions? thanks...

Yes, there should be one relay in the box where the ECU is and the large fuse for the SAI pump is.

Here is the picture of my ECU box... I have one 40amp fuse which I checked and it's fine...and one relay which I also checked with external power and multimeter, and it's also fine...the resistance does go to zero...So if that is the relay for the SAI pump then the relay seems to be ok...Is there supposed to be more relays in the box? Am I missing any???

I found this relay diagram guide...
http://www.csupomona.edu/~bvnorum/ca...fuse_relay.pdf

according to this there should be 2 relays...1 for ECM power relay and the other is for secondary air injection system...But my ECM box only has one??? can someone shad some light on this...thanks

According to this pdf (wiring diagrams for Audi A6 2.8) it seems that there should only be one relay and one fuse in the ECM box, which is what I have. and the both the relay and the fuse is for the SAI pump. They both work since I have checked them with multimeter and external power, I guess the wiring between the relay and the pump it self is the problem. Does anyone have any idea how do I go about tracing the wire between the relay and the pump??/

Are you sure you are checking when it is suppose to be on ? remember it only starts up for a short period of time.
I think you may be able to turn the pump on with vag com , then do your checks,..

Yes I was checking during the first 10 sec of starting the car.
Surprisingly, the pump kicked in couple of times this morning, but after 2-3 times it didn't.
Another test I did was that I removed the relay, and completed the circuit with a piece of wire, and the pump started. Then I checked the voltage on the two pins where the relay sits on, and before starting the car, the voltage reading was 3.41, and after starting the car, the voltage reading was 9.98-10.05...

Now the question is, what is the proper voltage that should be coming through the relay harness/connector (where the relay sits on)...???

Also the voltage doesn't drop...I thought the voltage should drop after the first 10 seconds, discharging the relay and breaking the circuit. Is that how this relay supposed to work???

If anyone has a multimeter, can you please check the voltage coming out of the SAI relay connecter??? before and after starting the car...thanks...
