Not "crickets" but more of a metallic 'tinking' sound...not steady but sporadic..seems

Turn off your climate control, if it goes away, it is probably still the blower...
but if it still persists, then it is something else. You can remove the glove box to see if you can locate the area of the noise. Just remove the five 8mm bolts (see my writeup on the BT install).

Hmm, mine sounds more like chunks of ice laying in the cowl area, bouncing around
on the plastic - really sounds like it's outside the cabin.
Oh well let us know if you find anything, I'll do the same.

Wow, I have the crickets and the tinking...
the crickets I have known about for some time and know how to fix. I also can either turn up or turn off the fan to get rid of it.
The tinking is driving me nuts because (1) it is sporadic and (2) I can't quite isolate it. Part of the problem is that my wife can't drive my car so I haven't had somebody drive with me while I tried to play around with the glove box yet.
I am starting to think that it is either somewhere in the light or the hinge/lock mechanisms in the glove box, but cannot be totally sure. If you find it before I do let me know and I will do the same.
