Not that I would ever recommend such a thing (hint, hint)

Interesting
I also did the 24 hour with a 9-3 and was surprised at how good a car it was. The rap on that model is it's the first one that GM really had a hand in ruining ... I mean, designing.
Except for the FUBAR "info-tainment center" that is way overcomplicated, I took that suckah up into Angeles National Forest and had much fun. Not as much as in the TT 3.2 DSG, but a good time.

In that case, you could do it with any other GM brand
I dunno if Hummer and Corvette participate, but perhaps the new Pontiac Goat. That's about all I can think of that would appeal to an Audi driver. Or maybe one of the new bad-*** looking Caddys, but doubtful.

not saying 9-3 is a bad car. It was hard for me to adjust to single turbo charged small 4 cylinder
engine. OK everyday car with major turbo lag. Interior too plasticky and overpriced I think.

I owned a new style 9-3...
I owned and my wife drove a new 9-3 when they first came out for about 14 months and then we dumped it for a volvo wagon. It was a nice car: awesome xenons, comfortable seats, nice wheels, but I thought the guages were boring, the radio SUCKS, the car is underpowered and the shiftronic really sucks (there is about a 10 second lag between when you hit it and when it shifts). I think it was a step in the right direction for Saab, but not anything like an A4 or my A6.
