Default O.K. guys, here is a close up of the Hella black tailight.

It was taken with a flash, so you can see the detail, including the yellow turn signal. Please note that it does not have a side marker light or reflector which makes it technically not legal in the U.S. It came with cheesey screw on relectors for the bumper to pass german TUV regulations. (Yea, right like anybody would put them on...) Also note that the "black" area matches the license plate surround, as it too was made be Hella. They look great on silver.

Default Here is a 3/4 view

2000 4.2
17" A8 polished 5 spokes
ABT/Bilstein sport suspension
Tint
Stonegard
etc
etc
(You can sort of see the splash guards that I use in the winter. They are VERY effective, with the 4.2 wheels offset, it can throw rocks/sand. I take them off when the traction sand has been cleaned off the streets.)

Default Question, about what everyone is doing without a reflector....

I have these lights, and they look great by the way. My question is that since the smoked tail lights dont have any reflector, what is everyone doing, are you putting a reflector on the car somewhere else, or just saying screw it. I don't really know when I would need the rear reflector, with the exception of if i was parked on a curb at night, to avoid it being hit by a on coming car??????????

Default reflectors

They do reflect to the rear every bit as much as the stock lenses, just a different color. They reflect white instead of red. They do not have the side corner marker reflector required by law in the US, and the add-ons don't solve that. Note that the stock taillights have a tricorner reflector section near the edge of the lamp, and these do not.

I don't find either to be a problem. The lenses reflect enough to be seen, just not the same color or as much as normal.
