Default Odometer replacement

Hi All,

Are there any circumstances where an odomter would be zeroed or replaced. Like a collision or other damage? Where is the mileage info stored? In the computer?

Thank you

Default You can adjust mileage once if less than 100 miles on odometer

So if the instrument cluster gets replaced, you can adjust it to say 60,000 miles or whatever you want. Once it's above 100 miles, it can't be adjusted.

I think there is some kind of software you can get to reset it....but never heard of anybody who has it. Highly unlikely.

So if the computer is damaged in a crash, they put in a new one and adjust to real miles? true?
