Ok, gonna get some g-tech runs in this weekend with another 2.7T...
to see if that last one was just a junker...
For those who can't recall (or don't care)...I had a 2.7T loaner a few months ago (tip) and did a bunch of g-tech runs...as I remember the 0-60 was 6.9-7.1 and the 1/4 was ~15.3 or so...
Now, I've got another 2.7T loaner, so I'm gonna give it another shot...to perhaps redeem the 2.7T Tip name!

those numbers werent too bad , 6.9 and 15.3 seem right in the ballpark.
I do know that a stock Tip ran 15.111 at Pomona Drags in 94 degrees and 1100' alt.
the Splits were
60',,,,2.393
330',,,6.522
1/8,,,,9.903@72.47
1000',,12.687
1/4,,,,15.111@94.01
Completely stock A6 2.7T Tip with 29.5lb wheels. Spare tire was out of car. Best Gtech 0-60mph time was 6.45 most were 6.50-6.65.
let us know what you get. Its too bad you dont have a AP22 meter or the new Gtech which can measure 0, 10, 20, 30 ,,,,,, increments in time and distance plus do 60' and so on.
The first 60' determine what you will get.
Maybe brake torque it. Gradually press the gas pedal down(but not too slow)till right above the kickdown switch, DO NOT hit or engage the kickdown button. Watch the rpms rise and as soon as they hit ~2200 release the brake and go(do not sit at 2200 release brake just as it climbs to 2200), I would leave it in "D" for this also.

The older Gtech was pretty accurate when used with automatics
The 1/4 mile time was always within .05 of the timeslip, since we were running the unit during the drags. You have to get it set up correctly, straight and level. Manuals throw it off some because of the up and down shifting motion.
THe 1/4 mph was usually 1.5-2.0 mph higher with the gtech also, but that could be because it takes the measurment right at the finish line and not like the timeslip where they do a 60' before/after the finish. But again the time was usually right on.
The 0-60mph times who knows , they might have been a hair optmistic but still close. And like someon else said if you use the same gtech its a good tool because your using the same timing device , even if its off somewhat you can still see the difference a mod does or doesnt do.

Day? Time? We gotta get the new kid timed, though it's not fully broken in @ 5,400 miles...
Not fully worked-in perhaps, but fully ready for full-throttle.
Plus, I gotta see those RS 6 wheels on the Atlas....
I offer: Zachary's!
