there are no red side markers on those lights at all
So they can't glow through. In fact, they don't even have corner reflectors of any sort. They do have rear reflectors, but they reflect white, not red.

Yeah, that's what I thought I remembered you mentioning awhile back.
I guess that's the only drawback. Now that you've had yours for awhile, what are your thoughts? Are you glad that you got them?

I'm glad I got them. They are quite distinctive and look great. It's too bad they aren't legal, I really wouldn't mind a set with hidden red like the Golf /// GTI.
But it was worth it. You can get them at AWE tuning too now, in addition to nopi and Tuning Zubehor.
