opinion of Dunlop Sp9000

Check out Tirerack's site...
they have their test impressions of several tires (SP9000 included) in comparison tests, as well as user ratings. Good info, might answer all your questions.

Based on personal experience, the SP 9000s will serve you well...
but can you REALLY keep the urS4 "down"? My son has a '93, and that is one GREAT sport sedan! You are a better man than I if you can "just" do high-way and "around" town without yielding to the car's true character. Of course, he has a stage III Intended Acceleration set-up...0-60 in 5.8, and then it REALLY gets going!

Re: opinion of Dunlop Sp9000
I HAVE A 2000 4.2 A6 WITH SPORTS SUSPENSION.IT HAS A SERIOUS TRACKING OR TWIST FEELING. ANY SLIGHT UNDULATION ON THE ROAD WILL SHIFT THE CAR OFF LINE.ALSO YOU NEED TO CONSTANTLY MAKE SMALL STEERING CORRECTIONS.
THE AUDI IMPORTER RECALLED THE CAR AND YESTERDAY AGREED THERE WAS A PROBLEM AND AND QUICKLY FIXED BY SIMPLY FITTING PIRRELLIS.
THERE IS SOMETHING AMISS WITH THE SIDEWALLS ON THE DUNLOPS.WHEN HAND PUSHING THE CAR AT THE TRUNK FROM SIDE TO SIDE THE CAR HAS A MAJOR FLEXY MOVEMENT. NOT WITH THE PIRRELLIS THOUGH.

Re: Both SP8000 and SP9000 are great for different reasons
At half the price (8000 vs 9000), it would seem like the 8000 w/b a slam dunk decision for a SoCal driver like me. Even less exp than my NCT3 Eagle Tourings per Tire Rack. Any other comments re; tires for "spirited" cty/hwy driving?
