Default OT: Here's some optional equipment you DON'T want!

This is why I don't mind the minivan these days. Much easier to haul him around, and it's on till July! 9.5 years old and he wears it like a trooper. Sorry, but just had to pay tribute to my kid. He's been through a lot, and he's handling it rather graciously!!

Default He's the poster child for when you tell your kids

not to fight with each other! Messing around with his twin, he tried a high kick and missed, fell backwards, and dislocated his neck. Traction and a spinal fusion (c1-c2) in March but doing ok except when the halo comes out, which has happened twice already. That's the pits.

Default whoa... excuse my ignorance but you've piqued my interest...

I'm not very familiar with what the ramifications of C1-C2 fusion... what are the long term effects? any paralytic effects? looks like he can walk from the picture...

how long has he been in the halo?

he is a trooper.. keep your head up little "Def"

Default I've got two boys, 10 and 6 who are always going at each other. I'm going to show this to them.

Probably won't slow them don't but I hope they'll take a second to think about the consequences of their actions. My prayers and thoughts are with you and the family for your son's full and speedy recovery.

Kids make us all look like wimps. Courageous and resilient.
