Default P1423 - Secondary Air Injection Flow too low - bank 1

Hi...

I recently got a P1423 code and I've searched the forum. But I can't seem to find an actual photo of the location of the vaccum lines that I should check in the engine compartment. Can any one please post a photo of the location of the vaccum lines that I should check? Car is an A6 4.2.

Also, since the P1423 code is for bank 1 only, does this mean my secondary air injection pump is ok, since the SAI pump also works for bank 2 as well and I'm not getting a code for bank 2 (i.e. P1411)?

Please let me know. Thanks.

likely a vacuum leak on the right side or a faulty right combi valve

Start with the combi vales... and follow the vacum lines back to the T.

Default Not the exact same engine... but gives you the idea...

The combi valve looks like the round silver thing in this picture (NOT the one with the blue tube connecting to it, it's the other one).

Look under your hood for it. Should have two.

I mean you could take it out and see if it cycles, but removing them is a PITA (at least on a 2.7t). Check for vacuum leaks and spray some brake or carb cleaner into it.
