Can someone give the Audi Part Number for the Driver's Side Rear View Mirror on the door? Mine has become distorted and I need to replace it.

My A6 has the Cold Weather Package, but the mirror isn't heated, as far as I know.

I'm pretty sure all Audi mirrors are heated. The question is whether or not you have auto-dimming?

No, I do not believe the mirror is auto-dimming. Is there a way to tell for sure?

I called an Audi dealership and got the part number (8D0857535C or F for the "Dazzle" mirror, which I assume is auto dimming).
Where would you look to buy this part, if not at the dealership? Thanks.

i think it is a dealer only part ... i am in the same boat and would like to know how do i know which mirror i have .. it has a black trim around it if that helps .. also does it just pop out ?

Black trimmed is the anti-dazzle mirror. Plain glass edge is just heated. I am pretty sure I have both a passenger and driver's side anti-dazzle mirror I am willing to part with since I put on blue-tinted aspherical mirrors after buying the avant.

If anyone is interested in either or both just let me know...I'll check tonight to see what I have.

Ebay has had these mirrors priced pretty good in the past, I have gotten a few over the years.

Yes. I mean don't be stupid, but all you have to do is yank it out. I recommend using a towel to be careful until you are confident on how to do it.


And the part numbers off my '99 A6 Anti-Dazzle Heated mirrors are in the following pictures. I'm not 100% if i have the driver/passenger side correct, so if you absolutely need to know, let me know and i'll go rip one off.

Driver's side: 4B0 857 535 C


Passenger's side: 4B0 857 536 J

I have inadvertantly ordered two (2) left side mirrors from a distributor in England. Once Would you be interested in buying the extra mirror?

Once I've received the mirrors, I plan to take them to a VW Dealership for installation (they told me the mirrors "pop" out and "snap" in. I will get detailed (hopefully video) instructions on installation.

Why are you taking it to a dealer for installation? It's one of the easiest things that you can do on an Audi.
