Poor headlights :(
so i bought this headlight restoration kit from ebay because my headlights looked hazy and they were. But when i was going to work on them i thought i might as well turn on the headlights while i do it so i can see where the headlights need help, and as i got very close i saw that the headlights were scratched to ***** horizontally.... so i just removed the haze around the scratches and am wondering if there is anything i can do about the scratches...

Depending on the kit you bought, you might have sandpaper or a sanding wheel that is coarse enough to get the scratches out. If the kit just has polishing compound, buy an assortment of wet/dry sandpaper from 800/1000 up to 2000 grit.
Sand the scratches out with wet/dry sandpaper(used wet). I'd start with 800/1000 grit and work up to 2000 grit.
Finish with medium rubbing compound, and finally polish like 3M hand glaze.
Don't be afraid of sanding out the scratches. No matter what you do, short of sanding through the lens, you can work your way to finer and finer abrasives to end up with a clear lens.
