Default Power, the responsible way? 2.7T BEL, 115K

This is all TBDW after I finish the maintenance, but AWE has some good prices right now.

Eventually, I'd like a GIAC chip. Adding power always comes at a price beyond cash, I have some ideas and would like some feedback.

GIAC adds about 110ft/lbs, I assume partially through timing and mostly through boost. I want the rest of the engine to remain as reliable as possible.

Swapping to the Samco boots seems like a good idea. Is there any need to change the post-turbo intake pipes as well, or is that more a flow issue than reliability?

The half-moon seals under the cam chain tensioners seem like they'll continue to be the weakest link (I'm under the impression that's intentional), what vacuum/breather components should I check/replace to ensure the engine isn't going to pop those seals? Combi valves, other? The combis do have some gunk in them.

Diverter valves? I assume turbo death will come quickly, if the car is chipped and the DVs are not functioning properly. Should I attempt to clean the stock DVs, or upgrade?

Anything else?

Thanks,
Sean

replace the 'suction jet pump' which draws a suction on breather tubes, usually gets clogged, leading to increased crankcase pressures, which blows gaskets. doing mine now. search on this site there are some good writeups.

you would be better off replaceing the diverter valve with the TT 225hp's diverter valve. this is the diverter valve people people switch to after a ecu upgrade. i think ecs tuning has them for 40 a pop.

they are also called 710n diverter valves
