Problem with rear windows.
I'm having an intermittent problem where my rear windows don't want to come all the way back up. They will make it about half way, act like they are binding on something, and then the anti-pinch mechanism kicks in and they go right back down. This has only happened a couple of times in cold, damp weather. Well, cold for CA, around freezing. Naturally when I took it in to the dealer, they worked fine and on two different occasions no less. Anybody run into this one before?

It happens to me sometimes when I'm driving at highway speeds. I suspect the force of the wind,
either blowing in or out, causes the anti-pinch mechanism to kick in. It's always the last window to roll up as well. Never done it for me at slow or stopped speeds however.

had the same problem...
...ended up being the plastic clips that hold the window in the guides. They eventually will break off, and the window will drop and not come back up. STFA, and I believe some people have replaced them on their own. I took mine to the dealer. ~1.5 labor hrs.

I had that "problem"...
See if this fits the situation. Is your sunroof open when you find the binding occuring? If it is open, then the pressure difference inside and out is doing it to you. Nothing to do but close the sunroof,then roll up the window. My fronts do this when it's cold. The rears do it whenever the sunroof lets in pounding wind pressure.
If not, then your cables need lubricating.Check the window guide replacement tech article (replace the guide while you are at it $5.00), and lube that cable well. The cold weather may bind the older lithium lubricants,causing themto solidify and chalk up. Try lubromoly 235 or similar cv joint lube grease (dealer and import parts specialists sell it).
