Problems with Audi Concert Radio (1998 model)
Hello everyone
Since the last couple of years I've been having a problem with the Radio installed on my A6 (1998 - 1.8T - 5sp man - 205hp). When the car is "cold" it is impossible to regulate the volume of the radio. It will either go to ZERO volume or MAX volume. If I turn it off and on, it will go back to a fairly high volume. After running the car for about 45 minutes, the control for the volume will start working normally. The problem does not occur during summer time.
Here there is a picture of the radio:

Anyone know how to fix this problem? Can it be fixed? Or do I really have to change the whole thing like the car dealer has been suggesting me?
Thanks
Alessandro

Bosch radio
Sounds like the typical Bosch radio issues. When it's really cold and you turn it on, does it POP? My old Delta used to do that.
I think it's nothing more than old dusty electrical connections. Call your dealer and find out how much it would be to swap out your old Concert for a new one. The C4's went through a bunch of replacements for these very issues, and I want to say the replacement was $100 + core.
