Default Question about TB replacement

I have a 1999 C5 QTip, 2.8V6. I am planning a timing belt replacement (A small coolant leak suddenly became a gushing flood, and the car maxes out the engine temperature). I think the problem is the water pump, and the TB is due anyway. So, where can I find a good walkthrough for the TB with this engine? I already looked at the tech section, and found a walkthrough there. I have the Bentley, but I'm always interested in more information and experience. Also, who has a good timing belt kit besides ECS?

Thanks!

Default Also, how about a seal remover/installer?

I have used a "real" seal R&R tool before, but I have never ha any luck trying to pry out old seals with a screwdriver. Since I'm planning this job, I might as well replace the cam seals and the crank seal... So what's the best way to R&R those seals?

Default I posted a complete parts list a while back.

Three bits of advice:

1. Replace the cam seals (4), cam adjuster seals (2) and cam plugs (2) as part of the job.

2. Use the tools...correctly.

3. Ignore the tech write-up where it says to completely disassemble the front of the car. Instead just put the nose into service position.

Good luck!

Default For the cam seals and plugs,...

...it's easy if you do the cam adjuster seals with the job: you'll have the valve covers off anyway, so you can just loosen the cam caps and pop the seals out and in with your finger.

Default What does changing the cam plugs involve?

I did not do those when I did the adjuster seals. Guess what is leaking now?
