Radio station change glitch revisted....
Sorry if this sounds like beating a dead horse but, after 4 months of ownership my, Concert radio started exhibiting the "Audi auto-station-change" glitch. I have also experienced the "CD display in the instrument cluster vanishing" glitch.
My questions are:
1) For those of you who have gotten new radios from Audi to resolve the problem, does the problem stay fixed with the new head unit?
2) Is this even worth worrying about or might it be a sign of future radio/cluster problems to come if I don't get it fixed?
It doesn't really bother me since I usually turn off the radio before I turn off the car. I just view it as one of those endearing Audi "features" that make the car more unique.<p>Charlie

Make that a "Symphony" radio, not "Concert". Duh!

My radio used to jump but haven't had one in at least 3 months.
I probably experienced the radio jump about 3 times when tha car was under 2000mi. Now I have over 6000mi and haven't had one since then. I hope everything else age nicely like that.

my symphony stop doing this after...
I had the ECM replaced (not performance chip).
well at least for 3 months now and I always leave the radio on.
so it may simply due to a loose connection somewhere.

My 2000 2.7t just started both the station change and the radio station display in...
the driver info window blanking out. I'm at 3mos. and 2,800 miles. Only happens occasionally. Seems to correct itself. Still, I'll have it checked when it goes in for service.

Sorry to hear that, Dealers are ordering replacement units for this problem.
Commonwealth has one on order for me, they said its a known problem and replacing the unit is the only fix.

Anyone have any word on whether or not new unit actually solves problem?
