Rear Door Light Switch Location?

The right rear door on my '00 A6 has a glitch in its light switch (meaning the one that turns on the interior light when the door opens and sends a signal to activate the door open indicator on the instrument panel). The door open indicator will come on for a few moments, and then go off again (the inside light used to also come on, which was irritating at night, but I turned the switch to the "always off" position).

Where is the switch that's causing this to happen? Is it magnetic or something? I can't find it anywhere.

If the rear doors are similar to the front, and I believe they are, there is a micro switch built into the door latch mechanism itself. There is no separate pin switch. And They are prone to failure. I replaced my driver side front. Which obviously gets the most wear and tear. The latch assembly is not inexpensive, even online.
