Rear seat cupholder removal from Bentley manual
cannot find the original thread about the stuck cupholder, so I figured I would just post here.
Yes, you have to remove the bench seat to get at the cup holder. Seems odd, but this is the only way to get to the tabs that hold it in.
Remove the bench seat by pulling up on the front edge, then forward to lift out. If you have side airbags and/or heated seats, you will have to disconnect these wires.
The cupholder trim will have to be removed first, by using a screwdriver to pry out retinings tabs (looks like 4 tabs, two on top, and one on each side). Hopefully, this is all you will need to do to find out why your cupholder is stuck. If not, then you might have to consult the experts at the dealer, since removing the rest requires that you cupholder is open. Go figure...
