I'm wondering what a reasonable price for RS mirror caps are? I have a chance to buy a pair for $500 + shipping from Germany and the set seems complete i.e. caps, mirrors and the black plastic base. They're not in the original box but were apparently removed from an RS6.

Apparently they cost 1000 Euro in Germany and the guy selling it tells me that I'm getting a great deal.

What do you guys think? What would you pay for them? First off, do they look all that great?

..but how does that look visually? I have an A6 Avant that has what I think are brushed aluminum roof rack rails - kinda semi-shiny/matt as opposed to the window trim, etc., which are shinier. Would the RS6 mirror look like the trim on the roof rack rails?

Yeah, yeah, I know I should go to dealer who's got an RS6 and check it out, but..
