Received 3 Error Codes on 2000 A6 Quattro Wagon
Hello AudiWorld Forum,
I am new to this Forum. I am the 3rd owner of a 2000 Audi A6 Quattro Wagon with 93,862 miles on it.
1-15-2014 @ 92,643 miles, MFI light came on & 5 codes displayed; 16815 (Warm Up Catalyst; Bank 2: Efficiency Below Threshold), 16805 (Warm Up Catalyst; Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold), 18098 (MIL Electronic Malfunction), 18084 (EPC Warning Lamp Malfunction), & 16885 (Vehicle Speed Sensor (G22): Implausible Signal); cleared codes
2-21-2014 @ 93,862 miles, MFI light came on & 3 codes displayed: 16815 (Warm Up Catalyst; Bank 2: Efficiency Below Threshold), 17831 (Secondary Air Injection System; Bank 1: Insufficient Flow), & 16805 (Warm Up Catalyst; Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold); cleared codes
I do see that for 2000 Audi A6, there is a TSB 26-08-07 (TPI 2013086) which might indicate there should be a firmware update that may assist w/ two of the codes.
Looking to see if anyone on the forum may have any ideas of a troubleshooting course of action to take on this or if the codes may simply be an anomaly.
Thanks,
LP

If you can get Audi to do the firmware update, do it. It will get rid of the cat codes for sure.
For the secondary air system, do a search. Troubleshooting should start with the vacuum lines that control the combi valves and the plumbing from the pump to the engine.
