Default Remote Programming

I spoke with the service manager at my Audi dealer yesterday about reprogramming so that my remote would open and close the windows. He said that he has had others ask also but that it is in fact not possible with my car. I have a 2000 A6 4.2 . Is this true?

Default Tell him he is a freaking idiot!!! And, to take his head out of his ***, or just stop lying

Here's the link to the tech section, stick a copy of that in his face. Why do these people lie about this? It takes 5 minutes, or less, to do.

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec36.shtml</a

Default This is total Baloney....

My service reps at Classic Motors in Westchester Cty, NY graciously accepted our downloads as to VAG reprogramming for my 99.5 A4 2.8QTipS and a year and a half later for my '01 2.7QTipS. As a matter of fact, I made a mistake initially on my programming choice for the 2.7T and they called because they actually compared my selection to the earlier one, and asked if that's what I meant to choose!!

As it turned out - I wanted the same programming on both, and of course, thanked them for their attention to detail. Their concern was that I'd be unhappy and require an unnecessary service visit to correct.

That's Customer Service and going beyond the call - something more people in business ought to learn.

Because it is easier to lie. Most people will believe it.
