I have a 2001 A6 can someone tell me how to get the Headlight switch out of the dash. Problem. when I turn on the headlights the 3 top lights (off)( parking lights) and headlights not the outside lights but the 3 little lights over the switch go out after I turn them on in about 15 sec.so I want to check the Blub out to see if it is loose.

I don't have my Bentley manual at work, but if I recall...

Removal: press the switch and turn toward the right simultaneously, hold the switch in this position and pull the housing from the instrument panel.

Reinstallation: simply the reverse, but first press the light switch in and turn to right simultaneously, so that the locking mechanism is countersunk. Then you can re-install.

had the same problem....dealer replaced entire switch for me.

I have the same issue. Hoping to have it replaced under waranty next week.

Exactly what Bentley says and shows. Mine was replaced last week as I watched.
