Default are the Replica RS6 wheels pieces of crap?

My friend has an old 98 A8 with a 4.2, and had just purchased a pair of the Triple A 19" replica RS6 wheels. He went to detroit this last weekend with some of my other friends and went over a dip in the road at like 20mph, and now has a big dent in the inside of the wheel. He was not going fast and the bump was not that big, are those wheels so cheap that would happen? I had my mind set on getting those wheels but now that i hear that they might be pieces of S##t, i am not sure what to get now. What do you think?

Default Achtuning/Hartmann carry the better quality of all the replicas...

I've heard bad things about AAA replicas.

Default How do you know this?

Just wondering. I'm not affiliated with either, but on what basis are you making these claims if you've never owned a set?

It seem a lot of people equate the folks who post on this forum to better quality on that basis alone.

No offense is meant, I just want to clarify as I'm interested in the replicas as well.

Default it's based on everyone's experience on the forum.. not just the A6

forum, but the A4 and S4 forums as well... I post on every forum and I lurk on every forum... you can run a search and see that the general consensus is that the Achtuning/Hartmann reps have held up the strongest.

maybe the wheels are a little soft, but the roads here just plain suck.
