Default Reputable audi tuner/mechanic Chicago/Milwaukee area?

About ten years ago I went to a place in Spring Grove Illinois called Automechanika/Automekanika and had a guy named Ed lower my car. It was a Mercedes CLK and he did a good job. At the time, I thought I remember him saying his specialty was porsche and audi. I can no longer find him but am looking for someone to possible run my car and adjust the wastegates as was mentioned in a prior thread.

Can anyone recommend someone in the Chicago or Milwaukee area that is a good indy tuner or knows Audi / turbo cars and can do this for me...right?

Found him. Goes by a different name now, that's why I couldn't find him. Said he has built many 2.7's and is actually doing an allroad right now and will be pushing 600 hp. He knew of the threaded rod on the turbos but seemed confused that they were adjustments for the wastegates. He said he can definitely do it but asked if I could find where or who said these should be adjusted and how. Suggestions?

He didn't particularly care for apr (didn't speak negatively of them, just didn't recommend them) and said he uses a different tuner. He also didn't like the idea that I had chipped my car with K03's. He said they are very prone to blow up. He said the a6 2.7t is a little more sturdy than the S4 but quite a bit heavier. I also know he is very expensive. He said K04 swap out would be around 7K. Seems steep to me.

No, his name is still out there; and still circulating just no useful links to him. I think, however, he wanted to do mainly dyno stuff and I think he took the name of the dyno company as one of their tuners. Don't know...but I do know he has been at it for at least 15 years and built hundreds of porsches and audi's. Don't know anyone else near me that would know more. Just a bit outside my price range for this age of car, unless I decide to make it a project car. In the later case, I will probably tear everything apart myself and go overboard on tuning it. Would try and get to that fabled 500+ hp mark.
