Right side speakers not working on CD Changer

Right side speakers not working on CD Changer
hiya,
got an a6 98 2.5 tdi. now the cd changer was missing from the car when i bought it so fitted an aftermarket kenwood changer. had to get a kenwood to audi interface, but now it is working perfectly but the right front and right rear speakers are not working at all. also, this problem does not exist when switching to radio or tape. only on the changer it does this. has anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening?

Sounds like a wiring issue between the changer and the head unit.
First I would try checking the connections for condensation or corrosion (and maybe add some contact enhancer). If that doesn't do it, you might need to do some continuity checking at the trunk and head unit ends of the changer harness.
