RS6, isn't it a bit late ? (more)

Yeah, its just a shape, and a good one at that.
Better to stick with what works and refine a great design rather then go the route of the fugly new 7 series. Besides doesnt the A6 still have one of the lowest drag coefficients?

Same here- I have the 2nd slot at my dealer- but want it to be one of the last RS6's ordered...
Mostly to buy time to see what the new A6 will look like and have. I think historically the 'fast' engine version comes close to the previous generations S4 engine (i.e. S4/2.7T w/250hp vs 2002 A4 3.0 w/220hp). So my for the new A6 would be @300hp-330hp either in year 2 or 3 of the new model line, a la 2.7T coming in 2000 vs 1998.
My 2 Cents-

I agree on the late, but I'm very much taken with my S6 and the RS6 will
probably replace the A6. It'll be close to 50k miles on the clock. I really only need one supercar but since the S6 Avant will remain the top car in that body style for some time (if you don't think the Avantissimo is coming)I'll keep it.
Style is important, but performance is more so, thus I don't think I'll be very hot for any new shape unless it performs, too! The cabrolet is a new shape (and very nice IMO). How many A6/S6 'ers are going there?
