Default S6 Avant?

I know this has been discussed a few times, and I thought the latest was we probably weren't going to see this car in the US. However, speedvision.com has a recent story on the car, saying it's coming...

Anyone have any fresh info on this? I want one bad... I have a call into my favorite salesman, but he's out of town for another week.

Thanks
Scott Stiles

It will (unfortunately) be the only S6 model we see. But it still rocks!

Default I think it should be priced same as a BMW 540i wagon

The S6 has more horsepower, but the bigger BMW 4.4 engine has more torque. I think the BMW is still a little quicker because of lower weight and smaller drivetrain losses.

It's too bad Audi is diluting their S model image by bringing cars here that are only marginally more powerful and sporty than their regular A model line-up. My comments here apply to the S6 and S8. The S4 is fine in the sense that it provides substantially improved performance over the A4.

Default I agree

I'm going to guess something just under $60k for the S6 avant and yes, Len Hunt says it is US bound... just don't know for sure the complete specs, when, and how much...

Heard one of the Speedvision car programs is featuring the S6. Anyone know which show it is?

Default 4.2 V8 with 340hp and 5sp Tip

17x8 et 35 Avus Rims and S4/S8 Front Brakes. Having experienced the new S8 and S4 Avant, I suspect it will be a very worthy beast. The S8 is really intense, I mean really intense. I also have a lot of miles in an A8 and the S8 is simply a very refined monster by comparison! I am sure the S6 will be a supremely sporting avant.

Default The S8 is a serious step up from an A8 IMHO

It is alot of sporting sedan. I was really impressed by the S8, I really didn't expect it to be as impressive.

Why do we get no 6sp manual in the USA S-model cars other than the S4?
