An S8 parked next to me. First one I've ever seen. Black, dirty, scruffy. Not a 2004. Thin diameter rope wrapped around the front fenders and underneath and clamped in place by the closed hood. Mature female driver. I didn't want to be too nosey so I looked and moved on. With that obvious kind of care the mechanicals must be in fine shape!

Ahhh, the famous rope mod.....makes it run much faster....
There's a few running around here and they are immaculate....I start drooling every time I see one. The guys always wave too...they are Audi fans but not on the forum.

Yup. I see that one around Los Altos all the time.
I bet someone pushed it over one of those parking lot blocks, then pulled out , ripping off the bumper cover.
