Default Samco TBB vs. APR's Bi-Pipe

I am looking to get some feedback as to which of these is a better fit for the direction I am taking my car...suspension/wheels/durability/cosmetic.

The Bi-pipe looks to be the all out solution to future TBB problems. However, I have made a promise to myself to not chip the car, so I am hoping I can save a few hundred by going with the Samco unit.

In a search I have found good reviews on the Bi-pipe but was left wanting to know more about the Samco. If there are people with firsthand experiences with these units, I would appreciate your thoughts.

If you're not chipping then Samco should be plenty.

Default I have heard that Samco's QC has kind of gone downhill, and they have a habit of popping off

I am not chipped, but I imidiely upgraded to a bi-pipe and hyperboost BPV's anyway, just so i NEVER have to worry about it again.

money well spent

Default If not chipping, stay stock...

...if installed correctly (i.e., clamp fitment is sufficiently snug but not too tight), the stock throttle body boot should fit fine. Samco is a stronger alternative, but fitment and QC has been poor in the past and after some time the Samco will stretch out and no longer fit (mine made it over 2 years though). The Bipipe is of course the ultimate, but it's pricey and is overkill for stock boost levels.

Default Or even the AMS kevlar wrapped TBB

It used to be around $79 bucks and that included their clamps which were better than the stock clamps.
Dang clamps act like a saw as the TBB expands and contracts. SO you end up with a tear most likely underneath right where the clamp meets the boot. Under stock .7bar conditions, its not as severe. But the boots fail even under stock conditions.
If it were me I would upgrade to the AMS boot and clamps. Dont think you need to get the bi-pipe, but it would rest your fears about the any boot. Plus your dealer may or may not have an issue with it.
THe AMS boot is the Audi "T" boot, wrapped up in tape.
