Funny how they have even added OMR to the sticker to show it is the revised unit.

Default i just got a new TSR from the dealer like 2 weeks ago...

now im curious to see if it was the new or old one... of couse i didnt check before i popped it in.

must resist urge to investigate because ill sure mangle the last 2 remaining clips on the hazard trim...

Default It is a much improved design. Omron makes great relays. I looked at the old one and

the contact point wasn't lining up correctly. So I actually think that the small piece of brass or copper that holds the relay contact part in place was worn.

Default I agree. though I am surprised that they didn't change the part number to reflect

a design change. A lot of times a manufacturer will change the letter which usually represents the revison of that part. So A=1st rev B=2nd rev, etc...

Maybe VAG doesn't work like this though.

Default I had mine replaced back in May (I think)...

But I am uncertain if it was this new type, or the old type. Would there be an audible difference? harder click, etc.? I did not notice a difference between the two, maybe slightly quieter, that was it...

Yes I forgot to mention that, the new one is a little quieter than the old one.
